JobGo runs on your computer. This page explains the small amount of data that does reach our server, and why. Contact: adhyansh273@gmail.com.
What stays on your computer
- Your resume, profile, answers, settings and application history.
- Your LinkedIn login. It lives in the Chrome profile the app creates on your computer. Your LinkedIn password is never sent to us.
What we receive and why
- License and device: your license key, a device name and operating system when you activate, so we can enforce the 2-computer limit and let you move the license.
- AI requests: when the app drafts answers, it sends the text it needs (parts of your resume or profile and the question or job description) through our server to an AI model provider to generate the reply. We use this only to produce the answer. We don't store the content of these requests or replies; we keep only counts and the estimated cost per license, to enforce fair use.
- Resume preview (before you buy): if you upload or paste your resume on our "search plan" page, your browser reads the PDF on your device and sends only its text to our server, which passes it to an AI model provider to produce the short summary shown to you. We don't store the resume or the summary. We keep a counter tied to a one-way hash of your IP address for that day only, to stop abuse, and the quiz answers you give stay in your browser tab and aren't sent to us.
- Free trial: when you start the free trial, the app sends a one-way hash of an id of your computer (never the id itself) so one computer gets one trial, and we keep a trial key, how many of the 10 applications you have used, and a one-way hash of your IP address for that day to stop abuse. We don't receive your name or email for the trial. If you open the paywall or tap "unlock" we count that anonymously.
- Anonymous usage count: each time the app submits an application, it sends a count (no job, company or personal details) so we can show an overall "applications sent" number and enforce limits.
- Purchases: Dodo Payments processes your payment and tells us a sale happened. We keep your first name, last-name initial, billing city, state and country, the amount and product, and use them for the "someone bought" notices on our website (US purchases only). We do not receive your card details, and we don't store your email address from the payment.
- Reviews: if you choose to leave a review in the app, we store your first name, optional city, rating and text, and show them on our website because you agreed to that.
- Support: if you email us, we keep the correspondence to help you.
Third parties
- Dodo Payments (payments, merchant of record, license-key emails).
- Cloudflare (our server and website hosting), Vercel (website hosting) and GitHub (software downloads). They process technical data such as IP address to deliver pages and files.
- OpenRouter and the AI model provider it routes to, which process the AI requests described above under their own terms.
Cookies and tracking
Our website uses the Google Ads tag (gtag.js) to measure whether our ads lead to purchases. It sets Google cookies and sends page visits to Google; see Google's advertising policy. We don't run any other analytics or advertising cookies.
We also count, anonymously, how many visits reach each step of our pages (for example the video, the resume step, the plan and checkout). Each count is a number per day, page, step and the tag in the link you came from (like "google"). We don't store your IP address, a cookie or any identifier for this, and nothing you type or upload is included.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete the data we hold about you (license, device, review) by emailing us. Deleting a license ends your access to the AI service. You can uninstall the app and delete its data folder at any time to remove everything stored on your computer.
Security and retention
Connections use HTTPS. License keys are stored hashed. We keep license, usage and purchase records for as long as needed to run the service, handle refunds and meet legal obligations.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
